Syria Holds International Aid Worker Hostage, WHO Denies False Syrian Claims

The WHO vehemently denies Syria’s accusation that it and the CDC are engaging in the dissemination of disease throughout Syria. Along with the U.S., the WHO strongly condemn the wrongful kidnapping of the WHO’s mission leader Curtis Rogers and reiterate their commitment to the survival and well-being of all peoples, regardless of origin. The WHO call upon the remainder of the international community to join them in condemning the Assad administration.

In addition, the promulgation of erroneous information by the UMC is endangering the stability of the region and contributing to the deaths of persons unable to receive proper care, according to the WHO, deemed as unacceptable and abhorrent behavior.
