Las Vegas Metro Police confirm car bombings at Bellagio

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has confirmed that two car bombs exploded at the two main entrances of the Bellagio Hotel within one minute of each other.

Sheriff Doug Gillespie said one bomb was in an unmarked black Odyssey minivan, the other in a Toyota Camry.

Gillespie reported two teams of approximately six to seven gunmen were on the casino floor dressed in black and wearing face masks. They carried hand grenades and automatic weapons. The gunmen then opened fire.

Bellagio security forces responded, followed by an LVMPD
swat team.

“The Bellagio security team brought down at least one gunman.  Three others were killed, and two wounded, by the SWAT team as they attempted to exit the hotel.”

At least six gunmen have not yet
been apprehended.
