Celebrities appear to be among the casualties in the Bellagio bombing.
Cher, Judy Garland, David Hasselhoff, Paris Hilton, Peewee Herman, Elvis Presley and Tina Turner were among those reported to be inside the Bellagio at the time of the attack.
According to the Las Vegas Convention and Vistors Bureau, a Celebrity Impersonator Convention at the Golden Nugget ended on Feb. 23. The 200 attendees are among 88,820 convention goers in Las Vegas this week.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported seeing celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsey, Emeril Lagasse and Mario Batali in the area of the Bellagio immediately prior to the attack. In addition, Robin Zander was scheduled to be at the John Varvatos boutique in the Bellagio for a fitting.
Earlier in the day, celebrity spotters posting on Twitter reported seeing George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Andy Garcia arriving at the Bellagio for what was rumored to be a belated celebration of the tenth anniversary of the opening of “Ocean’s Eleven.” Representatives for the three actors have not responded to requests for confirmation of their current whereabouts.
