FAA: Flights out of Seoul, Tokyo canceled, others rerouted

As the radiation cloud moved across Asia, the FAA said, flights out of Seoul and Tokyo were canceled and remain grounded. Flights out of other Asian cities were rerouted to avoid the cloud and its path, according to FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown.

The situation is described as a “major flight pattern disruption.” There is no word on how displaced passengers in Tokyo or Seoul are being housed or rerouted.  South Korea confirmed its flights had been cancelled.
