China wants to talk to North Korea about radioactive incident

With no information yet forthcoming from many of the world’s powers — except a categorical denial to the press from North Korea that anything had happened, the People’s Republic of China announced that it is currently investigating the situation and has asked to speak with North Korea, its neighbor to the south.

The two countries share a more than 2,000-mile long border and the city where the radioactive gas is said to have been released is less than 100 miles from China.
