No decision has been made to close the Mexican-American border now.
The federalized National Guard forces are assisting in monitoring the border and preventing illegal entry.
In order to provide surveillance of key border crossing points, including land and water, the Air National Guard from Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada has been dispatched to conduct civil air patrols in high threat areas.
While the situation is under control, United States citizens are cautioned not to travel to Mexico now.
