Citizens in the area of the Bellagio casino are running terrified through the streets near the Flamingo Ave. entrance as reports of semi-automatic gunfire and masked men strapped with ammunition and some carrying what one passerby described as .50 caliber weapons, entered the casino firing wildly and striking “scores” of people with bullets.
A huge explosion that some say came from a vehicle in front of the luxury hotel, rocked the Las Vegas/Bellagio Drive entrance at 1 p.m. At least four floors of the hotel are fully engulfed in flames and the streets surrounding the hotel are flooded from what appears to be the destruction of Bellagio’s signature fountain feature.
The water is running pink in the street from all the blood from the shooting on Flamingo, the site of a second explosion about 1:03 p.m.
